Guestbook Alternatives

I would love to do something other than a traditional guest book, just for fun. One thing I came across awhile ago was this amazing ''wishing wall" from Uncommon Goods. It comes with hundreds of "wish sheets" that guests can fill out at the reception and stick into one of the slots - so cute, and would make for great home decor later on.

Then, a few weeks ago, Ruth posted this wonderful "witness banner" on her blog. It is sold at spreadthelove's Etsy shop and can be customized with our names, wedding colors, and wedding date. It would also be lovely to frame and hang up after the wedding.

  1. Awww! I really like both of them! The Wishing Wall is my favorite - you could continue to use it also when you have a family. Members could put special intentions in there!

  2. Working as Michael's I've seen a lot of Kettubahs. I am now trying to find a Catholic kettubah for guests to sign...we'll see if that happens. Otherwise, I think I'm going to put together scrap book pages to put in with the wedding pictures.

  4. I also vote for the wishing wall! Did Kevin tell you about the little books that I found at Rod's Hallmark?

  5. Yes he did - I'll have to see if I can find them out here and check them out!

  6. Holl, that's a wonderful idea! I think non-traditional guest books are fantastic! From experience, I recommend one that you can use after the wedding for something. I had my sister-in-law paint a portrait of Elliot and I, and then we framed it and had people sign the matting! If you know someone who is an artist, or is crafty, they could probably make it as your wedding gift!

Oh! and fiance fridays are cracking me up! Keep em' coming!

  7. One of my friends had a polaroid and a photo album instead of a guest book - someone photographed everyone who walked through the door, and they wrote a message to the bride and groom in the album. It was very cool! (PS, I'm a friend of Kevin's :o))
